Contractor Agreement

1. Independent contractor status

You are an independent contractor, not an employee of BuildMatch. You are responsible for your own taxes, licensing, insurance, and compliance.

2. Platform rules

• No off-platform deals for matched customers.
• Provide clear scope, timeline, inclusions/exclusions in bids.
• Provide milestone photo updates and respond to communications promptly.
• Use written change orders for added work.

3. Payouts and fees

Payouts are released by milestone after homeowner confirmation, subject to dispute holds. BuildMatch deducts its success fee (10%, min 50, max ,500) from contractor payouts unless otherwise stated in writing.

4. Quality and conduct

No harassment, fraud, misrepresentation, or unsafe work. Repeated no-shows/complaints may result in removal.

5. Insurance

Insurance is preferred and may be required for larger jobs. You must provide proof when requested.
